LTTE attacks Food Convoy
50 world food programme lorries carrying essential food items ,medicine and dry rations for wanni civilians were forced to return to vavuniya due to LTTE attacks.
Military spokemen Brigadear Udaya Nanayakkara said the convoy loaded with essential food items had crossed the Omanthai entry point. He said the food convoy had come under a barrage of LTTE artillery fire and a claymore mine attack and turned back to Vavuniya.

The 57 Division and the Task Force 1 of Sri Lanka Army Jan 2 scored the greatest victory in their noble battle against terrorism by liberating the Kilinochchi town, the so-called administrative hub of the LTTE terrorists.
